With its 99 square inch headsize and incredibly thin beam design, the X-Blue 99 is tremendously spin-friendly. Players can attack the ball with an extreme swing angle and still clear the edges of the frame to maximize spin off the stringbed. From the baseline there is power on tap to help put the ball away and to add penetration to well-struck shots. At net the racquet feels light and mobile, yet offers plenty of stability to punch volleys with authority. On serves our TW playtesters found lots of spin and pace with this one. The head light balance keeps the racquet maneuverable, allowing players to find lots of swing speed to increase pace and spin. Several testers noted this to be an excellent racquet for hitting kick serves. A solid option for the advanced level player who likes to attack with pace and spin.
