Overview

Armed with eight sharp edges, this shark has some serious bite (think easy spin). The crisp and very predictable response will give big hitters exceptional control on their biggest swings. Players who like hitting heavy topspin, penetrating slices and big kickers need look no further. Spiky Black Shark offers excellent ball pocketing with a comfortably firm feel.

Pre-stretched for better tension maintenance and longer lasting playability.

Great spinGreat spin string in my new Rafa pure Aero Racquet. Even with close to a flat swing the ball has more shape leaving the string bed.

?As advertised, this is a textured string. The texture allows me to get an incredible amount of spin and control on the ball. However, the texture wears away a little faster than it seems to with other strings. For the first 2 or 3 hours of hitting, this feels like the best string I have ever used. After that, the strings become smooth (particularly in the center of the string bed), and then the string is fairly average, particularly in terms of generating spin. I'm around a 4.5 player.

Comments: This is the best string I've ever tried. I use it in my Six.One 95L and it has control, spin and everything.

Comments: I have used every Luxilon, every Volkl and every Babolat string know to man. And throw in a few others. These are hands down the best value I have ever experienced. For $6 a set, they outperform Blast, and Cyclone and are half or one third of the price. They have a soft feel on impact contrary to the sound of its name, and they have a nice elastic snap back like Blast and unlike Cyclone which has no elasticity. I have mine strung at 52 lbs on an Extreme and I love them. These are a must try for $6. You won't be disappointed. Kirschbaum is my new favorite brand.

Comments: I have these strings in a used racquet I bought. I thought I would try them before I cut them out to put my regular strings in it. I must say "Wow!" I was impressed with the feel and great spin I got with these strings. Nice feel and softer than I thought I would have with them. Nice depth and I can swing out and not have to worry about the ball being out. At the net I can get good depth and control as well. It was strung at 60 lbs initially and I had it checked on an RDC machine and it measured 40 lbs. I will definitely be buying more sets of this string to use in a few other racquets of mine. I get no arm, wrist or shoulder pain with this string.

Comments: I have this string on my Wilson Steam 99 at a tension of 55 lbs. I found this to be a great string. I had tons of spin, felt very in control, and was swinging powerfully with it in my racquet. The four pack for $24 seems like a great value. I'll be buying it again in the future.

Comments: Well, I'm not sure what to say about this string. I use the Dunlop Biomimetic 200 and I hit with an eastern grip and a semi-western one handed backhand and I string at 53 pounds for both crosses and mains. I hit as flat as I can on returns and these strings really help me control the shot and place it well. It gets me the spin I need or the slice I need when I need it. Have had it in for a month and they're still going strong. I play 2-3 times a week.

Comments: The advisor at TW recommended this string for my Head LM Radical. It was strung at 61 lbs which is a lot more that I was used to, however this combination worked miracles for my game, control and consistency. I recommend this string very highly. No arm problems, lots of comfort and great ability to spin. I am a senior player at 76 years old who plays about four times a week at the 4.0 level.

Comments: I agree with the review from Tennis Warehouse. Good for big hitters. Especially strong on the serve and you can hear the sound -- powerful.
From:Ming, 6/13

Comments: Love the spin potential. Like Joe said, doesn't play as stiff as other polys. Good durability as well. Also, has pretty good feel and touch with volleys. Can't beat it for the price! Especially when you get the 4 pack for $24. Definitely recommend it.

Comments: Great string and great value! I am a college player that plays 20+ hours a week and love this string. I used to use Luxilon, but this gives me more feel and bite at a much lower price. Only note is to string about 3-4 lbs higher than you do with other polys so it settles in nice. With Lux I was at 43 lbs so I string at 47 lbs with this. Awesome string at an awesome price!
