A new shaft technology called Elastic Ti is designed to make the shaft of the racquet frame snap back to its original position after ball contact faster than conventional racquet frames. Yonex claims that Elastic Ti provides the player with more power and accuracy. This racquet also features the Yonex Soft Grommet technology in the four corners of the hoop for increased comfort and a larger sweetspot.

Mid
The RDS 001 Mid is another solid player's racquet from Yonex. With a crisper response compared to the RDX 500 Mid, this one offers a little extra pop and a firmer feel. As with the RDX 500 Mid, mobility is excellent for a player's racquet. Players will find it easy to generate the racquet head speed needed for heavy topspin groundstrokes, and the stringbed offers plenty of grip to further promote spin production. As with the RDX 500 Mid, the RDS 001 Mid offers lots of control and a healthy sweetspot. At net we found this racquet to offer a crisp and solid response. We also found this racquet to feel surprisingly solid, considering its maneuverable weight and balance, on serves and overheads. We think Yonex has another great player's racquet here and this one is well worth a demo for advanced players who prefer the feel and response of a midsize.
