Prince adds a stealth carbon cosmetic to one of its most popular player's racquets

Introducing the ATS Textreme Tour 98 Carbon! Featuring the same spec as the standard cosmetic, this racquet is perfect for the intermediate player who wants controllable power and great feel. With its 98in² head, this racquet offers a tad more power than the Tour 95 but still delivers surgical targeting on full cuts. The signature technology is Prince's Anti-Torque System (ATS) which features Textreme and Twaron in both the shaft and upper hoop. The upshot is less frame torque through impact, resulting in a more stable hitting experience. On groundstrokes, the Tour 98 feels fast, spin-friendly and accurate. Although it errs on the side of control, there is definitely enough pop to get the ball moving through the court, and the buttery 62-RA stiffness delivers an arm-friendly ride with great feedback. As with the standard cosmetic, this stick is ideal for intermediate and advanced players looking for easy targeting and great feel. The awesome cosmetic is a very nice bonus.

Sweet!Gambled ordering this without a demo, but sure glad I did. Nice spin, extra pop and nice on the arm. Pick your spot and be confident it is going there. Strung with hybrid hyper g soft 17 mains, hyper g round 17 crosses, 50 lbs.

Love at first hitPlaying with this racquet for the first time was like Harry Potter finding his wand. Literally loved it from the first ball hit. Now a couple of years in, and I have no desire even to demo other racquets. It does everything well--ground strokes, serves, slices, volleys. I switched from a TF 40 305 18X20, and I was able to maintain the kind of control that racquet produced with a more open pattern and comfortable frame. I string with poly (usually Solinco Revolution) at 54 lbs. 4.0 club player.

Comfortable and very playablePrince has always been pioneers in technology and trying new things. Because this ATS Textreme sounds like marketing, but the racquet really does feel stable when hitting. Usually thin beam box frames tend to lack stability. The 325 SW is high for a stock frame which I like and is enough for me to not want to add any weight. The racquet is soft and flexy with that low RA, which might getting some used to if coming from a firmer frame. This is a good option for those with arm issues, but not wanting to give up their touch / feel game.

power and feelAlways a PRINCE RACQUET lover! love love this RACQUET! definitely has an exaggerated launch angle but the spin keeps it all in. Has great control with the serves and the angles. Flat power shots sound and looks amazing. expect some WOWS when playing. It can handle hard power shots with not much twisting.

Perfect for my gameThis racquet is a perfect fit for my game. It is very stable on serves, groundstrokes and volleys, maneuverable, has good plow and amazing feel. My strings are poly on the mains at 52 lbs and multi-filament on the cross strings at 55 lbs. I initially found it too light and added weight on the head and handle to keep its head-light balance. I am pleased with it after customization. Worth a demo.

Amazing racquetI’m pretty new to tennis and have played a little bit but never taken lessons. This year however I started to play tennis for the school that I’m at and getting this racquet is a AMAZING step up from my beginner racquet. It’s very forgiving and helps a lot being a little lighter and gives more top spin to my ground strokes

Excellent racquetThis racquet will present as a surprise to you! You will be shocked at how incredibly maneuverable this racquet is. It’s equally impressive on the baseline as well as the net. Also, my serve has never been better.

Prince ATS Textreme Tour 98 RacquetI have been using the Textreme Tour 95 for years and decided it was time to step up to a larger head size. I am pleased with the obviously larger sweet spot which is very noticeable on volleys. The control of the racquet is still excellent. The only downside is that it is harder to generate the extreme topspin I often use. I am guessing its because the frame is a lighter that the old model. Its a very comfortable racquet to hit

Prince Tour ATS 98Reasonably light, and very maneuverable. Good balance between power and control. Strong on ground strokes and volleys. Accurate: The ball goes where I place it. The only thing I would change is the grip. The rubber is okay, but much prefer a leather grip.
