With a no-fuss black cosmetic, this new edition of the Black Ace will appeal to players looking for a serious midplus player's stick. The graphite frame offers excellent comfort with a flex rating of 58 (RA) and a healthy sweetspot in the 98 sq. in. head. Our TW playtesters enjoyed the comfortable feel from the stringbed, even when hitting outside the sweetspot. We found surprising pop from this control-oriented frame. Off full, fast swings we were able to tap into the Black Ace 98's power to generate good depth and penetrating shots. Slice came off the racquet with ease as well. Mobility was impressive, and our TW testers found good directional control and stick on volleys.
