Comments: I've tried all kinds of strings, string my own, Gosen, Gamma, Wilson, MSV, Forten, Head, multifilaments, and hybrids. However, I always end up back with this string, at a full bed at 58 or 60 pounds. I play with the old Wilson Pro Staff Six.One 95 an a Wilson Six.One 95 18x20, it has a crisp feel, power, touch and spin, and accuracy. I have a bad arm, shoulder, I hit flat with some topspin. I am a 4 to 4.5 level player and will stick with this setup, good power, fair durability, great feel. If you're not a string breaker, and a classic player I would recommend this. Different colors do have a different feel to them, slightly. I played with white, gold, green, red, and black color. I am trying black now.

Comments: It's the only string I will buy, and I mean the 17 gauge gold. Not even the white. I find the white doesn't grab the ball as well on contact. They may say it's the same string, but whatever they use to make the string white, it doesn't give you the same control as the gold. I've been playing nonstop for 28 years, I'm not a tall guy nor big guy, but the gold strings make me play a monster game. I feel like every time I hit the ball I shouldn't miss. The feel is the best out there, I've tried all types of strings. Thumbs up for whoever invented the formula for these strings. My game would never be the same without them. Thank you Prince.

Comments: Great all around string for non-string breakers. I am a 4.0 player that plays an all court style -- can hit big when needed but more of a finesse player- I do not play a style that would benefit from using poly, but do not like the extreme softness of other syn gut/multi strings. This string gives a nice balance, holds tension fairly well and provides a consistency in performance that allows me to play with confidence. I have tried many other strings(poly/hybrid and multis), thinking I am missing something, but keep coming back to the Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex.

Comments: These are the first 17g strings I have played with. (4.5 level) My first impression is "wow" -- soft feel, great control. 1 week on the strings (6 -7 hours) very little movement at 62 lbs. I have had tennis elbow for 3 months. I think I finally found a string that will aide in my recovery.

Comments: I am a 4.0 who hits with some topspin but also a lot of flat and slice. I originally had my customized Prince 03 Red (lots of lead tape at 3 and 9 and around the throat) strung with Technifibre multifeel 17g, but it broke after 2 weeks or about 15 hours of play. The stringer recommended I try this string in 17g for more durability. I was hesitant because it was so inexpensive. Well, the price has little to do with performance. I had it strung at 52 lbs, which is a little low for me but was the tension suggested by the stringer since Duraflex plays a little firmer than other syn guts. I've been playing with it for 3 weeks now with over 20 hours of play, and I am quite impressed. Comfort, power, feel, control, and tension maintenance are very good. Even at 52 lbs, it feels crisp and allows me to block back hard serves with precision (depth or angle) and pace, often for winners. It has very good ball bite. You can actually see the fuzz embedded in the string itself rather than just at the crosses. Slices and kick serves are easy to execute. They seem to have very little wear at this point. The strings do move a good bit, but that is not big deal to me. Overall, it is a very solid string, and I will be using it again.

Comments: I love and hate these strings. I love the amount of topspin, touch, feel, and control, as it's all just absolutely astonishing. But this string lacks tension maintenance and durability. Sure, if you have time to buy a reel and just keep restringing it, go ahead. But these strings are just not for me. I usually play with a poly but these were just heaven on the arm. The durability though is not great. These strings get maybe about 9 hours of play before they just snap. So for me, I'll just go back to the poly world where strings last for more than 2 weeks.

Comments: I'd forgotten how much I love hitting with this string. I used it because I was out of my string and this was the only pack left (normally for my wife's racket). It has great feel and spin as well as good pop on the ball. Unfortunately, I'd also forgotten how fast these strings break. They didn't even last through an entire dubs/singles practice session. I'm going to try to hybrid them next and see if I can still harness some of their positive attributes without breaking so quickly.

Comments: I keep coming back to Prince synthetic strings. Truly one of the most control-oriented string. The Prince Synthetic Duraflex 17 appears to hold tension much better than 16 gut. I tried Luxilon strings lately. I previously tried other Wilson, Head, Gamma synthetic strings as well. But I came to the conclusion that Prince synthetic strings are much better for me. Currently I am using Prince Synthetic Duraflex 17 in the cross with Luxilon Ace 18 in the main. The best combination of control and spin for me.

Comments: I love this string. I've played with the Gosen proform tuff 15L for almost 2 years now and finally decided to switch to a different set of strings. I use this string as a cross @ 58lbs and MSV Focus Hex 17g as the mains @ 59lbs on my Youtek Prestige Pro. After playing with this hybrid for 2 weeks the strings have frayed but it still gives me the same pop, comfort and spin as it did the first time I played with it. I would definitely recommend this string as a cross to anybody I encounter on the courts.

Comments: Possibly the best string I've ever used on my Babolat AeroStorm. Great spin, great pop, not too much power to be uncontrollable still very strong. Deep, heavy topspin shots with ease. Serves are more accurate and more powerful. Dropshots bounce backward most of the time. Well worth the money.

I have to restring my racquet on a weekly basis because it breaks so easily. The 16g offers a better compromise between playability & durability. Comments: This string really has great feel, not like the psgd 16. When using the psgd16 on my Liquidmetal Prestige mp, I really didn't feel when the ball touch the strings. With the psgd 17, I had really great feedback so I had more control. At first I was using the 17G but I change to 16G looking for added durability. I'm going back to 17, i prefer to really feel the ball instead of not feel anything.

Comments: This is a such a good string if you use in a hybrid. The string I use is Prince syn. gut 17 for crosses and Babolat Pro Hurricane 17 for the main, and gives really good power and does not give you tennis elbow. I string my racket as the mains tighter than the crosses. The tension is 60.5 crosses and 61 mains and this is on my Dunlop M-Fil 500 racket.

Comments: This is a great string. I'm about 5 hours into it right now in my Prince O3 Hybrid Comp MP at 60 lbs. and it has terrific control and enough power added with your own. Strings have started to move out of place a bit and fray, but I still have that solid feel and hit like the first hour. Also my serve has improved a lot from this string you should try it. Comments: Decent string. It hits well, but not good enough to make it worth stringing so often. If you hit hard or with a lot of topspin I wouldn't recommend this string, but if you only play every once in a while and are looking for comfort and good feel and playability then this string is worth a try, it's just not durable enough.

It's a great string period. You get an honest response from Prince Synthetic Gut. And it's a very adjustable string when trying to find just the right tension for control and power. Try that with polyester.

Comments: Wow, what a nice string at a great price, terrific value for the money! Even though I mostly use my Babalot Aero Drive Plus now, I wanted to see if I could bring my Hyper-Hammer 5.3 back to life since the frame was in good shape. I want the Ping and trampoline effect that Prince is famous for. This racquet just came back to life, as if brand new, strung at 60lbs. The new strings performed EXACTLY as I had hope. Ping/Trampoline. I still love the Hyper Hammer 5.3. It is such a classic Wilson Racquet and this string makes it an even better performer. So on occasion, I still use it. People ask to play with it (as if they had never seen or heard of it) and tell me how good it feels and responsive it is. These strings made a huge difference in rejuvenating an older, now classic, racquet. Maybe I can get Serena William to Autograph it!

Comments: I have PSGD 16g strung in my racquet at 60lbs. It is a good synthetic Gut. A bit on the stiff side, but very good control and feel. I haven't broke it yet but I'm not a string breaker. I probably need to cut it out. Tension maintenance is pretty good. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, I'd give it a solid 8.

Comments: Everybody says Babolat makes the best strings, but I think Prince does a much better job(and I'm a major Babolat fan) this is by far the best string I've used, but it only lasts me around 4-5 hours of intensive playing. I'm a heavy topspin baseliner who plays on clay most of the time so that's probably why it breaks so much. I bought the reel of this string to save some money, but I also had to get another of the same racquet since the strings break so often.

Comments: The first time I popped a string on my racquet, my coach told me to get this string, and get my racquet strung @ 60 pounds. Since then, I have fallen in love with this string. The only problem with it is that the string tends to move a lot. I am not sure if it is due to my hitting style or the strings, but overall, this is a great sting to put on a racquet.

Comments: I like to try various strings, but keep going back to the Prince Duraflex 17g because of the price and overall playability. Freshly strung, it's a little stiff, but after a few hours of play it settles in and has a nice feel. I play about 7 to 10 hours per week and can go at least 4 months before restringing my Prince Beast or ProKennex 7G at 58lb. For me the strings will go dead before they even start to show wear. I'm a 4.0 player with moderate top spin and power using long strokes. My game is based more on placement and consistency rather than power and I play mostly doubles, so that may be why my strings will last longer. I have my own stringer and often string for my friends with the Duraflex 17g and have had no complaints.

Comments: Some people say that the durability of this string isn't up there, but the durability is decent for me. I'm not a heavy topspin hitter. Maybe that's the reason why I don't break this string as often as others. Surprisingly this string performed well, easy on my arm (when compared to Tecnifibre Promix 16). Comments: Excellent string. I strung it at 62lbs in my Prince Air Launch OS (16/20) and it lasted about a good 3 weeks at about 2 hours a day of use. When I got it strung again with the same stuff, I used String Eyes on it and it's still going without any sign of breaking. This string offers much better bite and spin than the 16g version of this string. Definitely my favorite string. I am a 3.0 Baseliner that likes to hit hard topspin shots and some nasty chop slices.

Comments: Lasted only 10 hrs on my Prestige Classic, but feels very soft, and most of all easy on my elbow and shoulder. If you use an open pattern racquet, do not use this string because it will snap in few sets. Use it only if you are using an 18/20 pattern racquet.

Comments: These strings are bad! First of all, I'm both a tennis player and I have a tennis stringing business so I've strung and played with these strings. It gives an uncomfortable solid feel...like the durability oriented strings. Speaking of durability, I've strung about 4 different students' racquets with this string, around 60lbs. They all broke it within a week. The string movement on the racquet is severe, and I barely hit with any topspin.

Comments: This is absolutely the best string for the money. I have tried almost every string that is available at Tennis Warehouse, from natural gut to Luxilon BB, and always come back to this string. Natural gut gives a lot of feel and power, but not as much control. Among other synthetic strings there are few that have a better combination of power and control. People here argue about the string's durability. Some say it's very durable, some say it's not at all. I guess it all depends on your style of play. If you play with a heavy racket (12 ounces +) and hit the ball hard, it is not a durable string, and there are no durable synthetic strings (except those stiff as steel strings like kevlar and polyester strings) for these people anyway. But if you play with a light racket and don't hit the ball really hard, it is reasonably durable. The only complaint I have about this string is that it moves too much. I am a 4.5 level player and use a Yonex RQ 1500 racquet. It lasts me about 10 sets.
