From the first hit it is evident this Midplus version of the MicroGEL Prestige is more forgiving than its Midsized brother. More comparable to the MicroGEL Prestige Pro in feel and response, this one is loaded with control, but also offers some useful pop. The 18/20 stringbed offers a consistent feel, inspiring confident hitting on aggressive swings. Our TW playtesters found plenty of bite from the stringbed, with easy access to topspin and slice. At net, advanced players will find a pleasing combination of mobility and stability - a Prestige Midplus trademark. Compared to previous versions of the Prestige Midplus, this one offers improved comfort and a pleasingly solid feel at impact. By varying string type and tension, players can really customize this one to taste. Big hitters will love the combination of HEAD's Sonic Pro co-polyester string in this racquet, while players looking for more power and a buttery feel should try a multifilament like HEAD's FXP Power 17. All in all a versatile racquet suitable for all playing styles at the 4.0+ level.
