The Babolat Pure Storm Tour GT gets a cosmetic update in this latest version. We found this racquet to provide a stable and solid feel from all areas of the court. The frame features Graphite Tungsten, which is a hybrid material, combining braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments. With GT technology, Babolat claims increases in energy recovery by 10%. As we have come to expect from the Pure Storm Tour over the years, this version is all about control thanks to its crisp response. Our TW Playtesters were able to hit deep, penetrating shots from all areas of the court. Thanks to its head light balance and open string pattern, the swing speed and bite needed for heavy spin is easy to generate. Up at net, the weight and torsional stability make the Pure Storm Tour GT an asset. Our testers found enough punch to put away volleys while also finding the stability needed for solid volleying. Babolat's new Skin Feel grip adds even more feel to the overall setup. All in all, we found this to be a great control-oriented player's racquet with some added stability thrown in. Recommended for 4.5+ players.
