The Boris Becker Sportster replaces the popular Boris Becker V1 racquet. Similar in spec, the Sportster offers a bit more weight, increasing plough through and power. Our team found the racquet to have a lively stringbed, providing ample pop and spin. The proprietary Delta Core material is used throughout the hoop, which Boris Becker claims to increase stiffness and therefore, power. We found the sweetspotto be very generous, even shots hit near the frame came off with plenty of pace. Up at net, our TW team was able to hit volleys with depth and velocity. The mobility of the racquet made it quite an asset in both singles and doubles. Sensor Plus material is inserted in both the throat and handle of this racquet, assisting in absorbing unwanted shock and vibration. A definite demo for the 3.5+ level player.
