Controllable Power. Easy Spin. Great Feel
Prince updates the Tour 100 (310) with a softer feel and a new material technology but keeps the controllable power and spin-friendly targeting of the previous generation. Like our favorite modern player’s racquet, the ATS Tour 100 (310) rewards aggressive players with the precision to swing big and load the ball with pace and spin. For 2022, Prince gives the Tour 100 a more flexible beam, resulting in even better ball feedback along with less shock to the tendons. Other updates include Anti-Torque System (ATS) which features Textreme and Twaron in both the shaft and at 10 and 2 o'clock in the upper hoop. The upshot is less frame torque at impact, resulting in a more powerful and stable hitting experience. From the baseline the Tour 100 (310) feels stable when redirecting higher levels of pace. The open 16x18 pattern translates into easy spin, and full swings are rewarded with more than enough power to close out points. It also feels solid at net where the touch is outstanding. All in all, with its controllable power and great feel, this update has impressive "out of the box" playability. The fact that it comes with a more flexible and arm-friendly beam construction is a nice bonus.

Significant Improvement to my entire gameI've dabbled in tennis a bit over the last couple years and have really started making it a main hobby in the past few months, so I think I'm still classified as a beginner. However, I've had multiple lessons, have a history of baseball, golf, and badminton, and I feel at home with tennis. All this is to say that I was scared of ordering a racquet like this, didn't seem like I'd be 'good' enough. But right away I noticed a lot of improvement in my game compared to the Pure Drive I was using. I can make a full swing without worrying about the ball sailing long and that alone has increased my confidence and has helped me really understand the timing and the forehand contact. For some reason, this racquet also seems really good for top spin serves, which I never really had confidence hitting before.
Compared to the Pure Drive, this racquet seems to have slightly less power, more spin, and better feeling. I've also tested a 2019 Gravity MP, which I really liked, but the Prince Tour 310 is just easier to use and I still get most of the control over the ball that the Gravity gave me.
I've only used the racquet for about an hour, hitting it against a wall and then taking it to a court for practice hitting all my shots. Which reminds me, it also feels awesome on slice shots. Not sure if it's relevant but I have a one-hand backhand.
I have it strung with Solinco Hyper-G 16L/1.25 at 52lbs.
Great comfort!!Amazing racquet, soft, feel and control, arm friendly. Recommend hybrid string, mains - volkl cyclone or solinco hyper g soft , 1.25 - 48 and crosses tecnifibre nrg2 1.30 - 49, not a fan of a full bed string. Best Performance with hybrid
Solid racquet, low quality bumper guardI bought this racquet new after trying one out from the demo program. It's a decent racquet - reasonably good stability, generous sweet spot, good access to spin. I had it strung at 53 lbs with a full board of poly 17 gage poly. I'm a 4.5 and I take a full swing at the ball on both wings. I struggled to keep forehands inside the baseline. My high net clearance trajectory sails. For comparison, the same swing on my Babolat VS Tour reliably drops in. Not so for the Prince ATS Tour 100. Going to restring it at 58 lbs and see if that helps.
Beware: the bumper guard is flimsy! A chunk ripped loose the third time I hit with it. I occasionally graze the court surface when slicing back low balls, which has only every resulted in cosmetic scratches to the plastic head guard in more than 30 years of playing tennis. I've never had a bumper guard fail like this one has. Because of this I can't recommend the racquet until Prince fixes it. Sorry - can't figure out how to include a picture, otherwise I would.
Great Racket - poor stringingThis Prince Tour racquet provides great power and control. It is a bit heavy, but that works for me. Only issue I had was that I ordered it strung and even specified the tension, but it was definitely strung too loose (less tension) than I asked for. Next time I will have my local club do the strings
Great update on the prior modelReally enjoyed hitting with this newer version of the black and green 310 Tour. The review done by Tennis Warehouse was spot on. I’m glad I went with this updated version. Hopefully they go to a carbon color scheme soon and improve the esthetics of the racquet.
Good but fragileI like playing with this racquet. My 15 year old daughter did too, though on a second serve follow through, it slipped from her hand, hitting the ground and cracked with a complete break at the top. I haven't seen that happen before.

Control, spin and powerI am a 4.5 all-court player and I recently switched to this racquet from a 2023 Yonex VCore 100. I wanted to love the VCore but I find it quite erratic. In comparison, the Textreme Tour 310 has an equivalent launch angle and produces just as much spin while providing significantly better control. Feel is similar to a Tecnifibre RS 305. The Tour 310 feels light and maneuverable and is great from all areas of the court. I’m really pleased with this stick.

Under-hyped masterpieceThis is the most well-balanced racquet I’ve used in 40 years. I post often here as I’ve sold thousands of racquets and now am a consumer as an adult. I’m a total tennis nerd. I have many frames on the wall. It’s usable art. The 2019 release of this frame was fantastic, and I still prefer the aesthetic a bit. It received many accolades in 2019-2020. This release is a subtle improvement. It has better feel and is a little more comfortable, but comprises very little on the performance spectrum. I’m convinced this is another under-hyped gem in the Prince line. Prince was king for many years. Post-restructuring, their marketing has been less conventional. Give this a look and get past the hype of pro endorsements (which are disingenuous) and many YouTube clips (which are often paid for). This racquet is brilliant.
Terrific racquet all aroundI played with the 2019 versions and love the ATS even more. Not much has changed other than it's a little softer. Does everything well: serves, groundstrokes, volleys, slices, etc. I love hitting my one-handed backhand on this stick and you can't go wrong with this racquet. Only did a slight modification by adding 1.5 grams at 12 o'clock for a tad more power. Currently hitting with a Confidential and Polytour Pro hybrid at 48 and it hits like a dream. Love Prince! 4.5 player.
