Minor change, major effect - this two-part grip design is a true milestone in vibration dampening. The racquet grip is divided lengthwise into two parts, with a vibration dampening "Air Cell" inserted between the two sections.
"Air Cell" is made of nitrile rubber into which air has been blown. This process triples the volume of the material and creates air bubbles which increase the dampening effect while minimizing racquet weight. According to Fischer, GDS eliminates unpleasant torsional vibration and reduces the impact shock by up to 70%.
