With improved feel off the stringbed thanks to Yonex's repositioning of the Soft Grommets, this versatile racquet provides some solid performance for a variety of player types. The combination of power and control our testers found with this one proves you can have your cake and eat it too. We found the same useful amount of power from all areas of the court as we did with the previous version. The sweetspot in this updated RDS 003 remains large, making this one of the more forgiving control-oriented 'tweener racquets currently available. From the baseline, spin generation comes easily thanks to an open string pattern and easy access to fast swing speeds. At net the RDS 003's improved feel offers more control on touch shots and combines nicely with the maneuverability. We found plenty of pace and spin on serves with the added length advantageous both when going for a heater down the middle or when looking for some added kick out wide. Offering a solid and predictable response from all areas of the court, this one is well suited to 3.5 to 5.0 NTRP level players.

Note: This racquet does not come with a head cover
