This control oriented player's racquet offers a solid and precise feel from all areas of the court. Advanced players will appreciate the stable response at contact. Power comes from the player's ability to exploit the heft of the racquet. Although slated as the replacement for the RD Ti-80 in the Yonex line-up, we found this one more reminiscent of the MP Tour-1 Midplus. The racquet offers a flexible feel and we found it easy to gauge depth and direction of shots. Players with one-handed backhands commented on how this racquet traveled through the contact zone - a benefit that was also noted on serve. At net the RDS 002 Tour offers lots of feel and control. Our TW playtesters found the racquet to feel very mobile at net - most likely thanks to its head light balance. We found excellent ball bite when serving, resulting in pinpoint control and good access to both slice and topspin. All in all a very impressive player's racquet that's well worth a demo for 4.5+ level players.
