Yonex offers subtle updates to its RDS 001 racquet line for improved performance. Racquet specs remain the same so players will find the same control oriented response they loved in the previous version. This midsize version of the RDS 001 offers excellent control and feel from all areas of the court. Solid technique is rewarded with pinpoint accuracy and the feel off the stringbed has been improved in this latest version of the RDS 001. We found maneuverability to be very impressive for a midsized player's racquet, making this a solid choice for players who like to attack from all areas of the court. The easy access to faster swing combines with plenty of bite from the stringbed for a spin friendly response. At net the racquet is easy to get around and offers a high level of control on placement volleys. There's ample mass to keep things stable, even when the hitting gets heavy. On serve our TW testers were impressed with the spin and pace they could generate with this racquet. Another impressive player's racquet from Yonex and well worth a demo for players at the 4.5+ level.
