The ProKennex Q5 295g has surprisingly good plow though for being so maneuverable. With a swingweight of 315 (RDC) and a headlight balance, this one moves swiftly, making it a great all court racquet. Our playtesters took advantage of the open pattern, noting a lively feel and plenty of bite. Players looking for a more arm-friendly response will appreciate the Kinetic Quadfocus Technology. This variation of the time-tested Kinetic Technology uses moveable mass in only four compartments surrounding the head to deliver greater comfort, power and stability. From the baseline aggressive intermediates will find plenty of power while having more than enough spin potential to bring the ball down hard. On serves our testers noted how easily the racquet whipped through the hitting zone, making slices and kickers more effective. At net, the maneuverability was great for fast exchanges and put-aways. Featuring Kinetic technology, the Q 5 295g is very arm-friendly. At 11 ounces this one is perfect for rising intermediates who want a racquet that does everything well.
Please note: Grip size 4 3/8 features the new Ki Q5 295 cosmetic (not pictured) but otherwise is the same racquet.

Kinetic System Technology
Kinetic Classic: This is the original Kinetic Technology. It feature thousands of micro-bearings housed inside multiple chambers surrounding the entire racquet head. As the racquet swings forward, the micro-bearings move to the back wall of the frame, loading energy. When the racquet strikes the ball, this kinetic mass transfers forward, adding power and reducing frame shock and vibration.
Ki (Kinetic + Ionic): This is the second generation of the Kinetic System. It uses an Ionic coating process to alleviate all static electricity to fully optimize the dynamic power of the micro-bearings. The result is MORE power, MORE Stability and MORE comfort.
Ki Quadfocus (Kinetic + Ionic + Quadfocus): This third generation of the Kinetic System includes the Ionic coating process but also concentrates the location of the Kinetic chambers in only four compartments around the head: 10 & 2 and 8 & 4 o'clock. By relocating the secondary mass to less stable regions of the frame, ProKennex has created a more solid feeling racquet, one that better deploys the arm saving properties of Kinetic Technology.
With the introduction of the Q+ Series in 2017: ProKennex improves Quadfocus Technology by expanding the Kinetic Energy Chambers by 25%! The result is even more vibration dampening along with greater torsional stability and shock reduction (according to ProKennex). Also with the Q+ Series ProKennex updated the frame chassis with a QShape to expand the sweetspot, representing a high performance output over a larger surface area.
