Head YOUTEK Prestige Midplus

Offering more power and forgiveness off a compact swing compared to its Midsized brother, the YOUTEK Prestige Midplus provides plenty of performance for the all court player. At just under 12 ounces strung, this racquet provides good stability and a solid feel. The tight 18/20 string pattern helps dial in the accuracy from the baseline though still providing plenty of topspin and slice. The 98 square inch headsize offers a nice sweetspot that yields some nice pop from all areas of the court. Volleying with this stick offers a nice combination of stability, forgiveness and put-away power. The combination of stability and maneuverability was well known in the previous versions of this racquet and we were pleased to find it still evident here. Using d3o technology, which adapts to the velocity of swing, players can hit even passing shots with more power or drop shots with more precision and touch, rewarding on the go shot making decisions. This racquet provides plenty of versatility and is suitable for all playing styles at the 4.0+ level.

Please note this racquet does not come with a cover.

d3o belongs to the "smart materials" category, which is a futuristic material with abnormal behavior characteristics. More specifically, d3o belongs to a subcategory of "dilatant foams", which dramatically change their behavior under dynamic loading or impact. Integrated in the lay-up and positioned in the shaft of the racquet, d3o offers new possibilities for tennis players.
The d3o technology is able to sense the needs of the players during different strokes (it's able to adapt to you). On high-speed impacts (aggressive shots), the smart molecules lock together within nanoseconds and dramatically increase the stiffness of the whole racquet frame to provide maximum power. On slow-speed impacts (slice or drop shots), the d3o molecules absorb the impact to provide a softer touch for better feel. What does this mean to a tennis player? Passing shots are even harder and drop shots more precise, rewarding your spontaneity and supporting your courageous decisions.
