Overview

The clear choice for a rubber replacement grip is the Ektelon Vision II Rubber Grip. This grip enhances control by eliminating slippage and twisting while allowing maximum hand to racquet contact with a smooth, tacky feel.

  • Thickness: 1.5mm at the top, 1.5mm at the base
  • Grip Adhesive: Not included by the manufacturer. We recommend using any mild household glue (like Elmer's glue).

*Please note, the CLEAR color of this grip looks fantastic on Ektelon racquet models that originally came with it from the factory, but it will not look ideal on other racquets due to the unfinished nature of most racquet handles.

Tearing apart on first dayAfter putting two of them on different racquets, they both had tearing at the bottom. I have used these for years and now might have to change.

Previous Feedback

Comments: These are great grips but they aren't for everyone. If you tear these quickly you should move on to a Python grip. Grips are like strings, they should be treated as a wear and tear item. People complain about a lack of glue. Unless the racquet grip size is xxs there is no need for glue. Use isopropyl alcohol to slide on the grip then give it a day to dry. But it is important to clean all double sided tape off of the handle before installing a new grip.

Comments: Manufacturer should supplky adhesive. I used an adhesive that I use for all grips but it messes up the Ektelon white grip. The adhesive disolved part of the end of the grip. I have never experienced this with any grip and this glue. And to make matters worse, I was doing a grip for a cheap stingy complainer. Not any glue would work with these grips.

Comments: Good news, bad news scenario. The good news is there is no better grip out there for grip enhancement, period!(I have literally tried them all). As an added bonus, this grip provides a bit of dampening to ease racquet feedback without loosing racquet feel. Bad news is that they wear out faster than any other grip. I usually get between 20 to 40 hours on one before it wears through. If you try this grip prepare to fall in love with it and get used to changing it frequently. Hair spray install method is my favorite, gasket cement and wd40 work well also.

Comments: To Mitch: I recommend warming and stretching the grip before putting it on. Also, I use WD-40, and that works for me. Any excess on the handle butt can be dried with a paper towel if necessary.

Comments: When installing follow instructions and use hair spray not glue.  Do not use alcohol free hair spray it will not dry & the grip will keep slipping.  Spray the handle and grip to get it started.  Then spray the grip generously through the hole in the top of the grip and use a twisting motion to slide it down.  I have no problem doing it this way.  I prefer this grip.

Comments: During installation for my replacement grip, I have had two split on the end just as soon as I pushed it on. I used clear glue last time.  I follow instructions well. Any got some help on the replacement install?

Comments: This grip is the best I have used so far. I have not found it to tear or wear down at all. Someone who goes through gloves very quickly I'm sure tends to do so with grips as well. As for me love this one!!

Comments: This is, by far, my favorite grip. Only problem I had with it was when I forgot my glove once. My hand was perspiring heavily and the rubber turned into one of the most slippery surfaces ever. Aside from that one instance, this grip has been fantastic.

Comments: Grip is good for a while, but wears down and rips quickly and easily.
