Stringing information for Donnay Pro One 97 18x20 Racquet: Tension range 40 to 60 pounds, optimum 50 pounds.

The more control-oriented of the Donnay Pro One offerings, this version offers a firmer feel and better depth control thanks to its tight 18x20 string pattern. Providing enough mass for heavy hitting from the baseline, the Pro One still feels maneuverable thanks to its head light balance. Our TW playtesters really enjoyed the feel and control on slice shots with this racquet. There's enough mass to plow through the contact and plenty of grip from the stringbed to produce knifing slices that skid off the court heavy and low. At net the racquet feels incredibly precise. Touch and feel are superb and volleyers will find their shots to quickly feel dialed in with this one. On serve the racquet offers enough mass to help push the ball with pace, yet is mobile enough for a quick swing. The result is good pace and impressive consistency thanks to the easy access to spin from a fast swing speed. All in all, this tighter string patterned version of the Pro One makes a great option for all court players at the 4.0+ level.

Dual Core

The Dual-Core racquets have a second layer of Xenecore tubing on the inside of the hoop that futher fortifies the frame and eliminates the loss of energy on ball contact.

XeneCore

XeneCore is a new fiber technology that uses high-pressure solids to form and reinforce the graphite fiber composite to incredible levels of strength that has allowed Donnay designers to reduce the thickness of the racquet beam width to a dramatic 15 millimeters, the thinnest in tennis. The thin beams greatly reduce air resistance (the same reason that sleek sports cars outperform bulky SUVs in wind-tunnel tests) providing unparalleled levels of maneuverability. The high-tensile strength of XeneCore also dampens vibration and provides unexpected power, while reducing the "shadow effect" from the beam blocking a portion of the string bed on off-center hits resulting in "frame shots." The net result of XeneCore technology is a previously unachievable level of all-around performance.
