Volkl offers an impressive racquet in the Becker V1 Midplus. Part of the Becker line of racquets, the Becker V1 Midplus takes its place among the most elite of Volkl offerings. This racquet provides some nice pop and maneuverability, giving it broad appeal to intermediate players. A new application of Volkl's DNX material technology features DNX located on the outer edges of the racquet frame for improved stability and a softer feeling hit.

Becker V1 Midplus
The Becker V1 Midplus offers lots of power and a very generous sweetspot. The response from the stringbed is as forgiving as an oversize racquet, yet the racquet offers the maneuverability and control of a Midplus. Our TW playtesters found spin easy to generate with this racquet. The mobile feel offers easy access to fast swing speeds and the open string pattern offers plenty of grip on the ball. At net the racquet offers a crisp and clean response. We found good targeting on deep punch volleys and enough feel to help find the desired target on short angle and touch shots. The Becker V1 Midplus is a fun racquet to use on serve. Some nice pop and solid access to spin allows for plenty of serving variety. Comfort and stability are impressive from all areas of the court. Volkl claims that by utilizing their DNX material on the outside of the frame - in key locations such as the 3 & 9 o'clock positions of the hoop - improves stability and allows for more feel than previous DNX racquets. Our on court testing results were definitely in sync with the claimed technology benefits and we found the Becker V1 Midplus to be an impressive racquet. Well worth a hit for 3.5+ level players.
